The NSCollection contains one version of every Nintendo Switch game that receives a physical release. A physical release is defined as being an official game on physical media that is playable on the Nintendo Switch. This notably excludes releases that feature a digital download code instead of physical media containing a game. Since only one physical version of each game is cataloged in the NSCollection, the following guidelines are used to determine which version is included:
1. If a game has a North American release, that version is included in the NSCollection. Please purchase games from your region to encourage more physical releases there.
2. If a game does not have an NA release and there is only one region with an English language option, the version from that region is included in the NSCollection.
3. If a game does not have an NA release, but has releases in multiple non-NA regions, each with an English language option, then the version from the developer's region is included in the NSCollection.
4. If a game does not have an NA release and no English language option versions exist, the version from the developer's region is included in the NSCollection.
